Journalists from 10 countries at Wankhede media box

Mumbai, April 2 : The media box at the Wankhede Stadium was choc-a-bloc with journalists from 10 countries covering the Cricket World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka here Saturday.


Apart from a large number of mediapersons from the two nations in the final, a big contingent of scribes has come from Bangladesh, the co-hosts who could not make it to the knock-out stage.

"We have journalists from South Africa, Pakistan, England, New Zealand, Ireland covering the match. There are journalists from the USA also," said an International Cricket Council official.

The air-conditioned media box has capacity to accommodate 195 working journalists. Sixty others were accommodated in the overflow area.
